Eating Disorder Treatment Programs
at Healthy Futures
All too often, people can develop an unhealthy relationship with food. Instead of eating to nurture the physical body, “emotional eaters” fall into the trap of using food in attempts to regulate feelings.
It’s important to fully understand the underlying reasons for emotional eating.
We want to help you start a healthy and happy relationship with food, and break unhealthy practices around food, such as yo-yo dieting.
Our EEIOP offers amazing support, coaching and therapy two nights per week.
At Healthy Futures, we specialize in eating disorders but our clinicians have experience and education in many areas including depression, anxiety, parenting, grief and loss, trauma, substance abuse, eating disorders, and exercise/nutritional consulting.
We offer counseling to couples, marital, and family counseling as well as children and adolescents. Healthy Futures is able to provide a wide range of treatment and therapy such as Cognitive-behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, DBT, Somatic Experiencing, and Family systems.
A great place to start…
Our priority is to make sure people get the counseling and treatment they need. If you are experiencing financial hardship or a lack or insurance, we offer a reduced fee counseling program. Master and Doctoral Level Counseling students are available to see you or a family member for the cost of an insurance co-pay for $35 per session. Our Master and Doctoral students are supervised weekly for several hours by our Licensed Clinician and/or Licensed Psychologist to ensure you receive the utmost care and help.
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a short-term naturalistic approach to the resolution and healing of trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine.
The body experiences physical tension and arousal of the nervous system after a traumatic experience. The remaining physical tension can have a major effect to the trauma survivor’s physical and mental well-being.
SE promotes the release of the remaining tension from trauma through increased awareness of one’s physical state and building back the body’s ability to self-regulate an arousal in the nervous system.
