Minute of Mindfulness with Mia – Activity
August 8, 2024
Hi, welcome to another minute of mindfulness with Mia today. We’re going to look at the activity skill, which is the “A” in the accepts skill set, which is a distress tolerance skill and it goes under distracting.
So whenever we’re just needing a little break or need to get our brain a kind of detour to something else we could do any activity. It’s best to have the list made up before you need it, but here are some of the things I really like to do when I need a break.
I go to my puzzle of the United States so I can kind of look at we’re going to be traveling next.
And another thing we can do is pick up, you know, take a little corner of the room and pick up make it look kind of nice.
Teddy gets his things all over we could play with the dog right? You can go get it.
We could pet a dog and lots of different things we could do.
We could watch a show.
Anything that gets our mind going somewhere else more helpful for 15 or 20 minutes is what our brain really needs in order to feel better.
Thank you. Hope you have a good day and use your activity skill.
